Code of Conduct
Last updated: September 11, 2026
Shipwreck Games is a space for everyone who loves these games. These guidelines keep it that way, in the store, at our tournaments and events, and in our official online spaces like Discord.
Respect Everyone
Treat other players, staff, and visitors with respect, regardless of age, race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, disability, or skill level. Harassment, hate speech, slurs, and discriminatory language or behavior aren't tolerated.
Fair Play
Play by the official rules of whatever game you're in. Cheating, marked or altered cards, deck manipulation, collusion, or misrepresenting the game state to an opponent or judge is grounds for a match loss, event disqualification, or removal from future events.
Sportsmanship
Win and lose graciously. Trash talk that crosses into personal insults, intimidation, or threats isn't okay either way the game goes.
Disruptive Behavior
No fighting, threats, intimidation, theft, or damage to property, store-owned or anyone else's, including cards, sleeves, playmats, dice, and display cases. Keep noise and horseplay at a level that doesn't disrupt other players.
Substances
No alcohol, drugs, or being visibly intoxicated on the premises.
Handling Cards & Product
Ask before touching someone else's cards or product, and handle singles and sealed product with care, especially anything in cases or behind the counter.
Staff Decisions
Tournament officials and staff have final say on rules disputes, match rulings, and behavior issues for that event. If you disagree with a call, you're welcome to raise it with management afterward rather than mid-round.
Consequences
Depending on severity, a violation can mean a warning, forfeiting the current match or event without a refund of any entry fee, removal from the premises, or an indefinite ban from future events and the store. Staff use their judgment case by case.
Minors
Players under 18 are welcome and are expected to follow the same rules as everyone else. Parents and guardians are responsible for their own children while in the store.
Reporting a Problem
If someone violates these guidelines, tell a staff member right away rather than handling it yourself. You can also reach us afterward, see Contact.
